Update on 114 Richmond Rd. Development Proposal

There have been changes to the development proposal for 114 Richmond Rd. as a result of the Design Review Panel’s recommendations. While these changes have created a better design and look of the site compared to the initial application, there are still some very concerning elements.

Councillor Leadman explains her position on the Lansdowne Partnership Plan

On June 28, 2010, City Council and OSEG formally entered into a partnership to redevelop Lansdowne Park in a P3 (Private, Public Partnership) arrangement. While everyone believes something needs to be done with the site and both the staff and business people working to put this plan together are very skilled and reputable, I feel the current plan has serious flaws. As a result, I could not support the plan.

114 Richmond Road Design Review Panel Results

A panel of experts was asked to read over and assess the development application for the “Les Soeurs de la Visitation” site at 114 Richmond Road. The experts consulted the affected community associations, the councillor and others before making their comments and recommendations known.

Lansdowne Partnership Plan Releases 11th Hour Document that Defers Fulfillment of Key Requirements, Criteria and Major Decisions until November 24th

Late on Friday afternoon, after most public delegations had presented, the only outstanding official document of the Lansdowne Partnership Plan (“Document 27”) was released. It dealt with much of the subjects that have come under the scrutiny by Councillors, interested heritage bodies and the public at large.

Cave Creek Construction set to start this summer

The City will begin construction on the Cave Creek Sanitary Collector this summer to help alleviate the bottle neck currently being experienced. The existing local watermains, sanitary and storm sewers in that area have also reached the end of their life cycle and will be replaced.
