Traffic Problems in Kitchissippi

Kitchissippi Ward has seen a significant increase in population over the past few years due to the City’s focus on intensification. This has translated in a rise in the level of traffic and the ensuing problems associated with it. Most streets in the ward are experiencing pressures as a result of this and particularly residential streets which were not originally built to accommodate current levels. As a result, Councillor Leadman has been working with residents and community associations across the ward to take steps to reduce speeds, address driver behaviour and the number of cars cutting through residential streets.

OC Transpo introduces new service improvements this fall

OC Transpo will introduce many improvements this fall to meet the transit needs of residents across the city, including new services to growing communities, increased service on busy routes, improved connections, expanded Park & Ride facilities for commuters, and the new U-Pass for students. Revised schedules also go into effect on most routes on September 5.
